Vis Island - July 3

We were up at 0630 to get an early start for a 60 mile blue water passage to the island of Vis. Unfortunately, another day of uncooperative wind or should I say no wind.

We had lots of time to read, cook and tidy up the boat for the first 2/3 of the trip.

Finally a bit of wind kicked in for the remainder of our trip to Vis.

As we approached, you could see the remnants of the defences that were in place during the Tito era.

We spent the night at harbour of the quaint village of Komiza on a mooring ball.

The town had a great waterfront promenade and when you ventured into the town, it was a maze of narrow streets with a mix of renovated and crumbling buildings.

We walked through the town to the church on the hill which dates back to 860 AD.

On our way back to town, I think I discovered the last remaining Yugo on the planet.

We took the opportunity to replenish our groceries before returning to the promenade for pizza and gelato.
