Independence Day -July 4

In the morning, we left Komiza and motored to the island of Bisevo.

This is the home of the blue caves. You dinghy through a small passage into this fabulous cave that is exposed to the exterior sunlight from underwater.

From here we had our best sail so far to the island of Hvar. A broad reach in 15 to 25 kts.

Hvar Town is a busy port known as "the jewel of the Adriatic". Getting a mooring was difficult but we managed to shoehorn in between Roc and another boat in an area where you have to back in, pick up a mooring ball and swim a stern line ashore. A little tough in a strong side wind but we were successful on our first attempt.

After an hour to unwind, we split up and Jim and Sharon hiked up to explore the fortress while Bob and Sue an us explored the town. Hundreds of very nice restaurants, bars and shops.

Chris and I dined at Lucalus Kanoba with Steve and Dawn and were entertained by the owner and his musician.
